DIY Winter Survival Kit

Hello everyone!
I've said it once and I'll say it again.
January and I are not friends
Every January I get the winter blues.
Christmas is over.
It gets dark at 4 PM.
It's not fun guys.
If you know anyone who struggles like me I have the perfect idea for you.
Why not surprise them with a little Winter Survival Kit?

You will need:
A Basket
Tag, Optional
String, Optional
Filler Items

What I Used:
Blanket
Mug
Warm Drink
Candle
Tissues
Lotion
Comfy Socks
Lip Balm
Basket

Gather your selected items.
I usually choose a theme and then select a color scheme.
For this kit I went with cooler shades; like light blue, gray, pale pink and a few neutrals.
I felt like these colors really said winter.
I wanted to add just a little more detail to a few items.
I added some twine around the wrapped blanket and tied it in a bow.
For the warm drink I went with hot chocolate and instead of putting the packet in the mug I decided to add the contents to a mason jar and placed the jar in the mug instead.
Arrange your items, largest to smallest, into your basket.
I choose a rose gold wire basket.
I'll let you in on a little secret.
My baskets that I use for gifts are almost always from the Target Bargain Spot.
Technically this one is a waste basket.
I have used "waste baskets" for so many occasions.
Baby Showers, Weddings, Birthdays.
And have gotten a compliment EVERY time.
No one even knows it's technically a waste basket.
So, do yourself a favor a stock up on some baskets the next time you are at Target.
Tie a tag to the basket with string, if you desire, and drop of to someone who could use a little extra love this time of year.
Your mom, a friend, yourself.
I'm not judging!

This kit is easy to whip up with a quick trip to the store or with things you might already have around the house.
It's a great way to support a loved one and to start your year off on the right foot by serving someone else.
What would your Winter Survival Kit include?

All my love,
Autumn
