Cave Tubing + Zip Lining In Belize

Hello everyone!
While we were on our cruise Erik and I were able to partake in another fun adventure.
I had heard such good things about it and it did not disappoint.
We met up with our group early in the morning on our ship.
Then we took a little tender boat to Belize.

From there it was about an hour bus ride.
It was so strange watching the busy city transform into the jungle.
During our ride the guide gave us a history of the country.
We switched buses for a quick minute to go up a STEEP hill.
We were all tipping and bumping into each other.
It was pretty entertaining to watch.

Then we were at the grounds.
It had so many accommodations.
Lockers for your backpacks, bathrooms, a restaurant, even an outdoor pool!

After putting our things into the lockers we got set up for zip lining.
They put on our harnesses and gave us a helmet and gloves.
After a quick demonstration we headed to our first line.

It was so surreal flying through the jungle.
I felt like Tarzan!
There were a total of five lines.
It was all over pretty quickly.

Then it was off to cave tubing.
We were split into groups and given tubes, life jackets and helmets.
We made a quick hike through the jungle to the river with our guide.
He pulled out spiders and snakes and had us eat mint leaves and insects.
And we saw the hugest iguana!
Before we knew it we had made it to the river.
It was pretty cold but we got use to it fast.
They tied us all together and the current took us into the caves.
It was pitch black but we all had little head lamps on to see.
There were so many stalagmites, stalactites and bat nests!
Our guide taught us all about the Mayan history surrounding the caves.
Afterwards we had just enough time to grab a bite to eat.
We enjoyed authentic tacos and bottled coke products.
Then it was back on the bus for our ride back to the ship.

It was a wild adventure.
Literally...
I love exploring and experiencing new places.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

All my love,
Autumn
