Scout's First Birthday

Scout turned one last weekend so we had a little party.

We invited Scout's dog friends and their owners to our apartment's Bark Park.

We served dog treats and human snacks.

We had a basket full of toys for the dogs to play with in the bark park.

And of course we served a dog cake. (Recipe to follow)

Scout loved spending time with his friends and he was worn out for the rest of the weekend.

Pearl showing of her mad flip skills.

Sella and Zuul taking a rest.

Aunt Lucy enjoying her cake.

Chickeree showing off her party hat.

Waiting patiently for Austin to throw the ball.

New Employee Gift

Hello all!

I am on the Party Planning Committee at work which means I am also apart of the Welcoming Committee.
Last Monday we had two new girls start at our branch.
For the last few new employees I just threw something together the night before but for the new year I decided I wanted an actual to go to gift so it was fair for each employee.
After some consideration I decided to go with colors!
I ran to the store and grabbed a few pink things for the girls that I thought were fun and useful.

Here is what I ended up with:

Pink note pad
Pink gum
Pink hand sanitizer
Pink grapefruit drink
Pink pens
Pink eos lip balm
Pink nail polish

I wrapped up the pink things in a pink bag with some pink tissue paper.
Added a cute pink tag that said
"We are 'tickled pink' to have you!"
and left it on their desks for them to find on their first day.
I think it's so nice to have something ready for your new employees.
It's a nice way to make them feel welcome and let them know you are prepared for them.
Since I am not brave enough to give a complete pink gift to a new employee that is a guy,  I decided their color would be orange.

Stay tuned for that post!

Fourteen Days Of Valentine's

Hello everyone and hello February!
Valentine's Day is almost among us so I thought I would share what I am doing for Erik this year.
Last year I did the fourteen days of Valentine's for him and it was so fun!
Each day I left out a toy or treat that he liked with a cute little saying.
I liked it so much I thought why not do it again this year?

Here are the things I chose:

Day 1 Burt's Bees Lip Balm
You're the "balm."

Day 2 Stride Gum
"Blowing" kisses your way.

Day 3 Straws
"Sip Sip" Hooray it's almost Valentine's Day!

Day 4 Reese's Pieces
I love you to "pieces."

Day 5 Swedish Fish
You have o"fish"ally stolen my heart.

Day 6 Junior Mints
We are "mint" to be.

Day 7 Peanuts
I'm "nuts" about you.

Day 8 Lindt Truffles
You're a real "treat" Valentine.

Day 9 Banana Slurpee
I'm "bananas" for you.

Day 10 Magic Grow Dinosaurs
You're "dino" mite.

Day 11 Socks
We make a great "pair."

Day 12 Diet Mountain Dew
You're "soda" amazing.

Day 13 Treat Tackle Box
I'm "hooked" on you.

Day 14 Simpson's Season One
You're the "Homer" to my "Marge."

I think this is such a fun gift because you can really personalize it for your Valentine.
You can think of a cheesy phrase for almost anything!
What are you getting for your loved ones this year?
